It’s been a little over a week since I came back to Vancouver… I’ve forgotten how beautiful it is. The sun is finally shining and the weather has been decent. I felt a bit cold for the first few days, but after spending some time exploring Granville Island and Steveston, I think I’m adjusting to the weather (although I still sleep with a toque at night!). Things certainly are different compared to Bankgok… while condo developments are going up everywhere like in BKK, the atmosphere is much more catered to the outdoors. Whenever the sun shines, people are out soaking it up… picnics, sunbathing, walks… the streets and parks are full of happy sounds of people enjoying the outdoors. Most people seem to be quite active with sports or activities… a nice change from the shopping lifestyle in BKK. It’s great to be back when its warm and people are happy. I wonder if the summer also brings out the better side of people in France, when I go in a week.
