(Reading in the pool is not a good idea, but luckily I was only posing with my book)
I finally am able to sit down to share my last weekend in photos. We made a decision to get out of Bangkok for the weekend and it was definitely worth it. Leaving at 7am, we arrived in Hua Hin, a beach town/resort area for Thais and tourists, at about 11am – just in time for lunch! After a long walk on the beach and getting sun burnt, we made our way to an out-of-the-way spot in Pranburi, where it was hardly developed with nice boutiques resorts and a long stretch of empty beach.
(Catching a taxi to the resort… it's funny how we arrived in a pickup truck at this swish resort area, but everyone else was driving Mercedes, Landrovers, and other nice cars)
(Getting out to the beach was a highlight for both of us, but Muriel definitely enjoyed it since she's from the Mediterranean)
(Nice pool in the middle of an open-concept resort… we even got a poolside room, which we thought was connected to the pool- instead everyone who checked-in could look into our room!)

It’s good to know you had a nice weekend at Hua Hin, which is also my favorite place… My father is going to Thailand again probably in October for 10 months contract and I will hopefully visit BKK again while they are there. Hope to catch up with both of you soon!
