(Hey, that's me in number 13, my old junior high school basketball number… this was us trying to plan out our strategy against Mission Hospital during a friendly basketball match between the UN's basketball club and the Hospital)
Can you believe it, one more month and I'll have been in Bangkok (again!) for a year… whoa, time sure flies. I still have one more year left on my contract, and then it's that time again… the "what do I do now" thoughts running through my mind – although I have to admit that these "thoughts" are always there. Maybe it's in the blood with my father's family being Hakka, supposedly nomadics of the Chinese people.
Trying to keep these thoughts in check is a pretty hard thing to do especially since my mind is racing a million miles a minute. But there are couple of activities that can ease my mind, even if its only for a short time. As you probably might be able to guess, its playing basketball and eating… I can't get enough of it. Turning 30 this year might make things interesting… i hope my body can take the basketball beating and my stomach can enjoy all the good food in Thailand!

(During our thai cooking class last week, we learned how to make a few dishes. Lim, one of the other students and a photographer for the Singapore Straits, took shots of the ingredients for our dishes. Here's one for Tom Yum Goong… spicy sour soup with shrimp… yum!)
