{"id":94,"date":"2006-11-30T14:17:51","date_gmt":"2006-11-30T07:17:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vincentfung.ca\/wordpress\/archives\/94"},"modified":"2011-03-24T08:08:09","modified_gmt":"2011-03-24T08:08:09","slug":"94","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vincentfung.ca\/blog\/archives\/94","title":{"rendered":"Crazy weather,&nbsp;everywhere&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.katkam.ca\/p.asp?what=currentjpg\" border=\"2\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>First, residents of Vancouver were asked to boil their tap water before drinking it because wind storms was wreaking havoc along the Pacific for the past couple weeks stirring up a lot of dirt and minerals in the local reservoirs.&nbsp; Now, the city is under a heavy snow warning.&nbsp; After hearing about this news from friends and family, I thought I&#39;d get online and see if I could find some images of snowy Vancouver.&nbsp; This is a live picture of English Bay in downtown Vancouver facing west towards Kits.&nbsp; The above webcam is brought to you by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.katkam.ca\">Katkam.ca<\/a>, which is updated every 15 minutes from dawn to dusk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<img src=\"http:\/\/vincentfung.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/12\/durian1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Tropical Storm Durian\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If no climate change is happening, what do you call this?&nbsp;&nbsp; According to a recent email I received, 2006 has already seen a large increase in named storms over 2005 in the western Pacific: 43 (as of the end of November) compared to 26 for the whole of last year.
