The scenery changes (i.e. it&#8217;s really dry since it&#8217;s the dry season) and there is a definite shortage of civilization\/people&#8230; The east is where you&#8217;ll also find the traditional Timorese spirit house (above photo).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-648\" title=\"On the road\" src=\"http:\/\/vincentfung.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/img_2194.jpg\" alt=\"On the road\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vincentfung.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/img_2194.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.vincentfung.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/img_2194-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Imagine the tropical paradise that advertising companies do so well and you&#8217;ll only get a slice of what Jaco is.\u00c2\u00a0 The water is crystal clear with the most vivid turquoise imaginable, and the sand is as find as sand can be.
