At the same time, it’s also the last day of my mini subject for my 2013 photo project on http://eyesee2013.tumblr.com/. The mini subject for February was to take a photo of the same scenery at roughly the same time. I called the project “Seven-ish“, and it was pretty monotonous waking up every morning at around 7am to take a photo.

But when you see the photos in the collection, the variation in color and movement is pretty apparent and sometimes drastic. It’s amazing to see the changes in sunlight from the first day of Feb to the last day. I had a couple of slips: I missed one day and I had a couple of shots around 9am over the weekend. Overall, it was an exercise of diligence, dedication and determination. I’d actually like to exhibit the photos in large print so if you have any ideas, let me know.

In the meantime, check out the photos from February: http://eyesee2013.tumblr.com/archive/2013/2

Update: based on a recommednation by a friend, here’s an animated slideshow of the photos throughout the month of February

And, if you’re wondering why the strange title to the post, I learned (in Grade 4) that Roy G. Biv stands for all the colors in the rainbow. For each of the next seven months, I’m going to focus my subject on each color. It seems easy enough, but that’s what I thought for February and I like a challenge…

Red

Orange

Yellow

Green

Blue

Indigo

Violet

Today is the last day for February because 2013 doesn’t have a leap year – the next time we get 366 days in a year will be in 2016 and it’ll be on a Monday.
