C’est Fromage

Unwinding from salsa

(Unwinding after 4 hours of intense salsa in a small studio at our new dance studio SalsaHacha with 5 other people)

The countdown is on… just over a week and I’ll be in France!  Its not what you might think… no, I’m not moving there for all you people who think I can’t settle down anywhere. It’s going to be well-deserved 10-day holiday which will include about a week in Sanary and a few days in Paris. So you might be wondering why would I not spend more time in Paris… well, after being in Bangkok for a year, noise, pollution, crowded places is the last place I want to experience. I just hope my Francais is up to par… Parlez vous francais?

Sunset on Raminthra
(This was a wicked sunset taken from the pedestrian bridge I used to get home everyday…Its like the sky is on fire. Did you know that pollution is what causes us to have nice sunsets? All the particulates in the air absorb, transmit, and reflect the sun’s rays. Whatever passes through gives us the different colors. So essentially, the more dust (i.e. pollution) we have in the atmosphere, the more red, orange or yellow the sky will be at sunset… there’s technical bits I’m not mentioning, but you get the idea… Yay for climate change?  UPDATE: according to some climate expert, clean air is what makes nice sunsets…)
